Jerry Ryan On May - 20 - 2012

Presentation Night:

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of a Mid Junior hurling title we are having a presentation night to honour the panel involved. Also on the night we will be launching our five year plan, where the guest of honour will be former president of the GAA Nicky Brennan. The venue will be Upperchurch Hall on the 26th of May. There will be a meal on the night and tickets are limited. These tickets are priced at €20 each and can be purchased from the following.

Senior Hurling Championship

LJ Ryan who put in a man of the match performance in action against Holycross Ballycahill in the second round of the senior hurling championship played in the Ragg on Saturday 28th of April.

Fixture Change

The Senior hurling championship match against Holycross Ballycahill fixed for next Sunday in the Ragg at 7pm has been changed. It will now go ahead on Saturday at 5.30pm in the Ragg.

Cross Country Charity Ride:

The club would like to thank all those who helped make the cross country ride a success. We would like to especially thank all the land owners who allowed us to use their property and without whose permission this event would not have been possible.

Cross Country Charity Ride:

The club will hold a cross country ride in conjunction with Fighting Blindness this Sunday 15th of April. The ride will be over unspoilt Upperchurch Drombane countryside, with amazing views of Knockalough Hill & surrounding valleys, it is suitable for all grades of rider. The cross country section over mixed country includes (optional) banks, walls, rivers & hedges and it promises to be a sporting and scenic ride. Light refreshments will be provided at the halfway point and a barbecue at PJ Ryan’s pub in Rossmult directly after the ride. All completed sponsorship cards should be returned to Jerry Ryan 087-9865953

 

Club Coaching Course:

A foundation level coaching course will be held in Upperchurch Hall over two evenings on Monday 16th & Wednesday 18th of April. Anyone interested in participating in this course please contact Michael Griffin 086-8072438.
