SENIOR HURLING
Last Saturday evening we played out a thrilling draw with Toomevara in the county championship at Semple Stadium. In a forward and back game we managed to raise 3 green flags through Paudie Greene and a brace from Jack Butler. There were fine performances throughout the field and on another day we could easily have claimed maximum points. Final score was 3-17 to 1-23. This result puts us on 3 points alongside Borris-Ileigh with Toomevara on 2 and Burgess yet to get off the mark. The lads now go into next Sunday’s final group game against Borris-Ileigh knowing that victory will guarantee us a place in the county quarter finals. We can still qualify if we are defeated but we will be relying on other results to go our way. Throw in is at 6pm in Semple Stadium. If you didn’t get one of the few tickets available for the game it will be streamed on the Tipperary GAA website and there will also be live radio commentary on Tipp FM. See below for more details. Best of luck to all involved on Sunday.

SENIOR HURLING v BORRIS_ILEIGH LIVE STREAM
Sunday’s game with Borris-Ileigh is being live streamed by the Tipperary county board. You can sign up and watch our match for €10(and also view it back for 7 days), or view all 3 weekend matches for €15(again you can view the games back for 7 days). There is also an option to view all games for the rest of this year for €80. Full details can be found here: https://tipperary.gaa.ie/weekend-live-streaming-15th-16th-august-2020/
This weekends other live games are both on Saturday 2:30pm Drom Inch v Kiladangan & 7pm Killenaule v Ballingarry. TG4 will have live coverage of Loughmore Castleiney v Kilruane MacDonaghs on Sunday at 2:30pm.

SUPPORTERS ATTENDING GAMES AT SEMPLE STADIUM
For those who have a ticket for Saturdays game here are the guidelines for entering the stadium. All supporters of both teams can park in Ardáin O Riain car park but tickets will be checked by the steward at the car park gate. Entry to Ardáin O Riain will only be through the VIP door opposite the Dome where only the three middle sections will be used. No spectators will be allowed cross the field into the Old Stand at any stage.

SENIOR FOOTBALL
We will play JK Brackens on Sunday August 23rd at 4pm in The Ragg in our final group game in the county championship. In order to progress we will need a victory by at least 2 points and also to rely on Kilsheelan not getting victory against Aherlow. We are safe from the relegation playoff irrespective of results.

JUNIOR HURLING & TICKETS
Our junior hurlers were pipped at the post by Drom & Inch in their first outing last Sunday in Drombane. Drom had the better of the first half but our lads finally hit the front in the 2nd half and things looked good when we led by 5 with 4 minutes left of normal time. However it was Drom’s turn to find form and they scored 1-3 without reply to claim a 1 point victory (3-14 to 3-13). Tonight(Friday) we face Moycarkey-Borris in Littleton at 7:30pm. Once again this is an all ticket game but the game will also be live streamed on our facebook page.

MINOR HURLING
The minor hurlers suffered defeat for the first time this year when Moycarkey Borris defeated them 1-17 to 0-12 in Littleton last Wednesday evening. Moycarkey took an early 5 point lead which we were unable to narrow. Despite this we finish the group stage on top of the table on 6 points. This puts us into a mid semi final against Gortnahoe-Glengoole next Wednesday at 7pm in The Ragg

SENIOR FOOTBALL
Congratulations to our senior footballers who defeated Aherlow in Dundrum last Saturday to get off the mark in the county championship. After a slow start a Conor Fahey goal on 23 minutes saw us to a 4 point lead at half time. And we kicked on from there outscoring our opponents 9 points to 2 in the second half with the final score 1-11 to 0-3. In the other group game Kilsheelan and JK Brackens payed out a draw. This leaves JK Brackens & Kilsheelan on 3 points, Upperchurch on 2 and Aherlow on 0 heading into the final round of games. We will play JK Brackens on Sunday August 23rd at 4pm in The Ragg.

JUNIOR HURLING & TICKETS
Our junior hurlers begin their mid championship vs Drom/Inch on Sunday at 11am in Drombane. Best of luck to the team and mentors. This is an all ticket game.
The club will have 50 tickets to distribute of which 15 will be for season ticket holders and the remaining 35 will be for sale to club members. If you are a season ticket holder or looking for a club ticket give your name to the club secretary and state which type of ticket you are looking for by TEXT ONLY on 086-2413884 by Friday 9pm.
Ticket cost is €6. If you have a season ticket you will have to present it at the gate on entry.

MINOR HURLING
The minor hurlers continue to put on very strong displays in the mid championship. Last Wednesday they defeated Gortnahoe-Glengoole 3-17 to 1-11 thanks in part to goals from Pat Ryan. It was Gortnahoe that did a lot of the early running but our lads dug in and narrowed the margin approaching half time before proving too strong in the second half. Next Wednesday we face Moycarkey-Borris in the final group game at 7:30pm in Littleton. We currently sit top of the group on 6 points.

SENIOR FOOTBALL
Best of luck to our senior footballers who face Aherlow tomorrow(Saturday) in the second game of the county championship. After a tough first day out against Kilsheelan we will be looking for a victory against our west Tipp opponents. Throw in is at 2pm in Dundrum. The game will be streamed live on our facebook page.

SENIOR HURLING
We got the senior hurling campaign off to the best possible start last Sunday with a 5 point victory over Burgess in Dolla. Playing against a strong breeze in the first half we were unable to convert a lot of our chances and went in at the break 2 points in arrears. Burgess were dogged opponents and still led by 3 approaching the midway point of the 2nd half. But then we found an extra gear and were able to reel off 10 points to Burgess’ 2 and win on a scoreline of 0-21 to 0-16. In the other group game Borris-Ileigh and Toomevara played out an entertaining draw. On Sat 4th August we take on Toomevara at 7pm in Semple Stadium and the game will be streamed live by the Tipperary county board for anyone who can’t get a ticket. Note the change of time from last weeks notes.

MINOR HURLING
Our minor hurlers made it 2 wins from 2 last night when they defeated Na Sairsealaigh Óg by 3-23 to 0-11 in Thurles. They are back in action next Wednesday night 5th Aug at 7:30 in Drombane where Gortnahoe-Glengoole will be their opponents. The following week we face Moycarkey-Borris in the final group game. We currently sit top of the group with Loughmore on 4 points.

SENIOR FOOTBALL
Unfortunately we came up short against Kilsheelan-Kilcash last Sunday in the first round of the county championship in New Inn. Kilsheelan were on top in the first half and took a 4 point lead into the break. This could have been more except for a penalty save by Paul Ryan in the opening minutes. Our lads upped the pressure and good work saw Niall Grant dragged down by Kilsheelan goalie Evan Comerford and a penalty awarded, which Paul Ryan dispatched to the net. Upperchurch dominated the next period but were only able to draw level and it was Kilsheelan who finished stronger, reeling off the final 4 points of the game to prevail on a scoreline of 0-13 to 1-6. Footage of the game can be viewed on our facebook page. Our next game will be against Aherlow on Saturday August 1st at 2pm in Dundrum.

SENIOR HURLING
This Sunday the hurling championship starts as we face Burgess in Dolla at 1pm. As with the football last week admission will be limited to ticket holders only to maintain a max attendence of 2100 people. Assuming internet from Dolla is strong enough we are teaming up with Burgess to livestream the game on www.facebook.com/BurgessGAA There will also be live score updates on our twitter page. In last years championship we emerged victorious by the slimmest of margins (0-21 to 1-17) so a great game is in store. Best of luck to players and management. Our following game will be against Toomevara on Sat August 8th at 3pm in Semple Stadium.

MINOR HURLING
Well done to our minor hurlers who got off to a strong start in the mid when they defeated Loughmore-Castleiney 3-17 to 0-15 last Wednesday in Drombane. There were some fine displays on show and gives us momentum heading into next Thursday’s(July 30th) clash with Na Sairsealaigh Óg in the Outside Field Thurles at 8pm. The mid board has decided that no supporters will be allowed to attend games for the next few weeks so entry is restricted to players, officials and one parent or guardian of each player.

TIPPERARY COUNTY BOARD LIVE MATCH STREAMS
Tipperary county board are launching a package this weekend with 4 games livestreamed from Thurles, Nenagh & Holycross. Patrons can buy tickets for individual games at €10 each or a weekend pass for all 4 games for €20. A season pass will also be available for €80. Passholders will have free access to these games both live and also be allowed to play them back later.
