Upperchurch Drombane GAA Notes

 

Intermediate Football: The Intermediate footballers had a good win against Brackens in Drombane last Sunday evening. Final score 2-12 to 0-06.

Minor A Hurling: The minor A hurlers were beaten by Moycarkey in littleton last Wednesday evening on a scoreline of 4-17 to 1-17.

Minor B Football: The minor B footballers play Thurles Gaels in Holycross next Saturday at 3.30pm.

Upperchurch Drombane GAA Notes

 

Senior Hurling: The senior hurlers were victorious against Portroe in the final of the Johnny Ryan senior hurling challenge cup in Nenagh last Sunday. Captain Andy Kinane received the cup on behalf of the team. Well done to all panel members, trainer Michael Bevans, selectors Pádraig Hayes, Michael Ó Dwyer, Seamus Armstrong and Tom Kennedy and all backroom staff involved.

Junior B Football: The junior B footballers were beaten by Moycarkey last Sunday in Drombane on a scoreline of 2-8 to 0-08.

Minor Hurling: The minor hurlers play Moycarkey Wednesday evening in Littleton at 7.30pm.

Ladies Football: The ladies footballers had a good win against Clonmel in the Junior A football championship in Drombane on Sunday evening.

Cycling: Best of luck to Peter Ryan who departs for Canada on Saturday for the world championships. Go n-éirí an tádh leat.

Senior Hurling: The senior hurlers play Portroe in the final of the Johnny Ryan senior hurling challenge cup in Nenagh on Sunday at 5.30pm. This represents our last chance for the senior hurlers to secure silverware this season so please come and support the team.

Junior B Football: The junior B footballers are fixed to play Moycarkey this Friday in Drombane at 7.30pm.

Minor Football: Hard luck to Paul Shanahan who was involved with Tipperary minor footballers against Monaghan in the All Ireland quarter final on Monday.

Sponsorship: The club would urge as many people as possible to attend Supermac’s official launch for sponsoring Peter Ryan in Supermacs this Thursday at 8pm.

Bás: The club would like to extend its sympathy to the family of Mary (Melly) Bourke Upperchurch Village on her recent bereavement. Go ndéana Dia trócaire uirthi.

Senior Hurling: Defeat against Nenagh in Templemore last Saturday evening on a scoreline of 2-18 to 1-17  ended our interest in the County Senior Hurling Championship. Despite being knocked out of the championship, we put in a very good performance and led at half time by 1-8 to 0-12 points before eventually coming up short against a good Nenagh side.

Intermediate Football: The Intermediate footballers are fixed to play JK Brackens this Sunday in Drombane. Check fixtures list.

Minor Hurling: Our minor A hurlers were beaten by Thurles Sarsfields last Wednesday in Thurles outside field.

Tender:Upperchurch Drombane GAA Club are now inviting tenders from interested parties, for construction of new clubhouse at our existing playing facilities in Ballynera, Drombane.
