Minor Ladies: Congratulations to the minor ladies football team on winning the County title against Holycross Ballycahill on a score line of 6.08 to 3.08 last Sunday. This represented a fantastic victory for the ladies footballers and should go a long way towards strengthening our claims in adult competitions in the next few years.

Club AGM: This year’s AGM will take place on Saturday 28th of December in Drombane hall at 8pm. New members are welcome to attend. Motions for discussion to be submitted to Club Secretary, Donal Hayes, before the 21st of December. Donal can be contacted on 087-1176433.

7k Roadrace/Walk: The GAA club will hold a charity race on Sunday 29th of December in aid of North Tipp Hospice. This will involve a 7k roadrace and walk around Moher Hill, beginning and ending in Upperchurch Village. Walk starts at 2pm and race commences at 2.30pm so time to shape up and get ready.

Under 21B Hurling: The under 21 hurlers lined out against Gortnahoe last Saturday in Littleton in the mid semi final without the services of a few players and came out second best against a sharper and hungrier Gortnahoe team on a scoreline of 3-12 to 2-7. This ends our interest in the competition. Well done to panel members and mentors for their efforts throughout the year.

Minor B Football: Pride of place goes to our minor B footballers following their victory over Ballyporeen in the County Final last Sunday in Golden. We were down a point at half time against an excellent Ballyporeen side who threatened our goals with a very attacking style of play. Credit has to go to our defence who stood firm and the team as a unit who were engaged in a see-saw battle in the second half before eventually coming out on top on a scoreline of 1-9 to 0-10. Paul Shanahan accepted the cup on behalf of the team and mentors, Fr. Joe Walsh, Patrick Purcell, Paudie Stapleton and Viv Downey whose efforts throughout the year provided the platform for a great success for the parish.

Under 21 Hurling: The under 21 B hurlers are fixed to play Gortnahoe on Saturday at 2.30 in Littleton in the mid championship. Check fixtures.

Bragging Rights: Well done to all who participated, organised and supported fight night against Holycross in Younges the Ragg. The night proved to be an overwhelming success and was a great form of entertainment against our traditional rivals and neighbours.

Climbing Wall: The newly constructed climbing wall requires people who are interested in becoming supervisors for climbing and boldering activity. Contact Adam Challen on 085-1745864 for further details.

Bás: The club would like to extend its sympathy to the families of Tom Quinlan Cappanaleigh  and John Ryan (Jerry) Castlehill on their recent bereavements. Go ndéana Dia trócaire orthu.
