Senior Hurling: The senior hurlers were beaten by Holycross in the Jim Devitt Cup on Saturday on a scoreline of 2-9 to 0-16. We play Toomevara this Wednesday in Templetuohy at 8pm in a challenge game.

Under 21 Football: The under 21 footballers showed great determination to force extra time against Cahir in the under 21B semi -final on Sunday in Boherlahan. The sides ended up deadlocked after extra time also so we have to wait another day for an outcome. The replay should be fixed for next weekend – check fixtures for details.

Minor Football: The minor footballers will have played Moyne Templetuohy on Tuesday night in the mid championship. Check results for details.

Membership: Membership is now due and can be paid through registrar Colm Ryan. Colm can be contacted on 086-1589498. U18 membership – €10, U21 membership – €20, All other adult players – €50, Non playing membership – €30.

Membership for 2014 is as follows.

€10 for all players between the ages of 16 to 18.

€20 for all players between the ages of 18 to 21.

€50 for all players over 21 years of age.

€30 for all non playing members irrespective of age.

Senior Hurling: The senior hurlers played Clonoulty last Friday night in the first round of the senior challenge cup. Having led well at half time Clonoulty came out strong in the second half and clawed back the lead with the sides deadlocked at full time on a scoreline of Upperchurch 0-14 to Clonoulty’s 1-11. We eventually won out on a final score of 2-18 to 1-15 following extra time. We play Moycarkey in the next round at 12pm in Littleton on Sunday.

Under 21B Football: The under 21 footballers were victorious over Thurles Gaels at the weekend with a full time score of 4-12 to 2-5. We are fixed to play Moyne Templetuohy next weekend. Check fixtures for details.

Paudie Greene and Pat Shortt prominent in the first half for Upperchurch as they went in at the break with a commanding lead. Clonoulty fought back well to take the game to extra time with John Ó Neill and Fiachra Ó Keefe providing the main scoring threat for the home side. Goals in the first period of extra time from Jody Brennan and Paudie Greene ensured victory for Upperchurch Drombane.

Senior Hurling: The senior hurlers played Nenagh in a challenge game last Saturday. This proved to be a good work out for our lads ahead of upcoming competitions.

County Board Table Quiz: Billy Clancy, Pat Treacy, Eamonn Fogarty and Toby Clancy will go forward to the grand County final in the Dome having won the local heat in Oliver Ryans bar last Friday night.

Senior Hurling: The senior hurlers drew with Templederry in a challenge game last Sunday morning. The match finished 2-12 apiece and provided a good work out for our lads ahead of upcoming competitions.

County Board table Quiz: Our club is taking part in this year’s All County Table Quiz organized by Tipperary County GAA Board and our local heat is being held on this Fri Feb 21st in Oliver Ryan’s Bar.

On that night Fran Curry will call out the questions live on Tipp Fm to thousands of quiz enthusiasts all over the county and we will be ready to join in from our local venue.

Participants must be seated by 9pm and be ready for the first round of questions which are all general knowledge. It costs €40 per table and all individual €10 entries will be entered in a special draw to be held on Co Final night with a weekend voucher and Garth Brook’s tickets as prizes. The winner(s) from our heats will go forward to the Grand County Final being held in The Dome, Semple Stadium on Fri March 14th where the outright winning table will receive €2,000 and there are four All Ireland tickets and four Tipperary club season tickets for the two runner-up tables. There is also the added incentive for the highest scoring team qualifying under Scór rules to go forward and represent Tipperary in the All Ireland Scór Final. So if you want to test your knowledge against the best in our area and maybe the best in the county, turn up at 9pm this Fri night in Oliver Ryan’s Bar.

County Board table Quiz: The club will hold its annual County Board table quiz in Oliver Ryans Bar on Friday the 21st of February and not on the 14th as was previously stated. Please come and lend your support on the night.

Social Initiative Trip: This years social initiative trip is booked for Waterford on the 17th of February. The bus will leave at 8 am and the trip includes guided tours of the Medieval Museum, Bishops Palace and Waterford Crystal. Two course lunch with tea/coffee in the Tower Hotel €34.50. Cahill Cup: Our senior hurlers were beaten by Drom and Inch in the Ragg last Sunday on a scoreline of 2-11 to 0-06 in the Cahill Cup.

Hastings Shield: Well done to Paul Shanahan who was part of the Tipperary under 21 football team who beat Mayo in the Hastings Shield final at the weekend.
