Our minors suffered defeat to Moycarkey in their opening game of the mid championship last Wednesday. In a tight first half there was only 2 points in it at the interval. However Moycarkey were the stronger team after the break and eased to a 2-13 to 0-6 victory.We now face Holycross-Ballycahill next Wednesday at 6:15pm knowing that we require a sizable victory to progress to the mid semi finals.

Our quarter final in the mid championship against JK Brackens has been fixed for Saturday October 3rd at 1pm in Holycross.

The new installment of the Tipp GAA Clubs Draw commences in just one week. There are €500,000 in prizes to be won over 11 draws with 2 CARS, plus €25k in Cash prizes up for grabs in 1st BUMPER DRAW on Sept 18th. A CAR, plus €25k Cash prizes to be won every 3 weeks after 1st draw. 11 draws over 8 months for only €100, with final draw free to fully paid sign ups.

The Friends of Tipperary Football will go ahead with their deferred golf classic on Friday & Saturday 2nd & 3rd October at Thurles Golf Club. You can enter a team of 4 players for €120. Tee booking now open, please contact Martin Dwyer – 086 2549154

It was announced during the week that limited crowds are now allowed attend games, tickets will go on general sale on the new Mid Board Ticketing website. Tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis. There will be three ticket options: Adult, Student/OAP and Juvenile. It is important to note that juvenile tickets may only be obtained by purchasing one of the other two ticket types in the same transaction.
From next week on, general admission tickets for the following seven days will go on sale each Tuesday at 8pm. In relation to minor games from next week onwards tickets which are not taken up by the participating clubs by 8pm on Monday night will be released on general sale. The mid board have taken the decision not to release all tickets for minor games for general sale until clubs have purchased their required amounts for parents/ guardians.

A dedicated page has been added to the club website where a collection of club games and footage uploaded to youtube has been gathered. These are games uploaded by the club and by others. The Hurling In The Hills DVD along with a number of old county finals are up there and we will be uploading more old matches over the coming months to build the collection.
