SENIOR FOOTBALL
Congratulations to the senior footballers who overcame the terrible weather conditions last Sunday to defeat Kilsheelan Kilcash in the county quarter final. Playing with a very strong first half breeze we steadily built a 5 points to 1 lead approaching half time. Two late Kilsheelan points brought the gap back to 2 at half time however. In the second half it was Kilsheelan who made the most of the conditions and with 6 minutes of normal time remaining had taken a 3 point lead. To the credit of our players they never gave up and tagged on 3 late scores to take the tie to extra time. Two periods of extra time also failed to separate the sides which meant penalties would be required. After a tense series of kicks it was Upperchurch who came out on top and won 7 goals to 6. We now look forward to a semi final clash with JK Brackens.
JUNIOR B FOOTBALL
The junior B footballers will hope to bring back silverware next Tuesday(3rd) when they face Moyne/Templetouhy in Drombane at 8pm in the mid final. Tap and go will be available on the night or tickets can be bought in advance at https://embed.futureticketing.ie/c/mid-tipp-gaa/
JUNIOR C HURLING
The group stage games are now concluded and we will play Loughmore Castleiney in the mid semi final. Fixture details have not been made for this as yet.
