We face Gortnahoe-Glengoole this Sunday in Semple Stadium at 1:30pm in the county semi final. A large local support would be greatly appreciated to give the lads an extra boost as they hope to progress one step closer to a return to senior hurling. Best of luck to all involved. SENIOR FOOTBALL
Our senior footballers reached their 3rd county semi final in 4 years with a convincing win over Aherlow in the semi finals last Saturday in Golden. After a cagey opening quarter with neither team finding the posts it was Upperchurch who struck first and when Keith Ryan finished a good move to the net a few minutes later the lead was out to 5 points. We continued to keep the scoreboard ticking over and were 9 points ahead before Aherlow registered their first score on the stroke of half time. A fast start to the second half saw Upperchurch score three points in four minutes to push the margin to 11 and it was a case of managing the lead from there. Final score was 1-11 to 0-5 and sets us up for a semi final clash with Clonmel Commercials on Sunday Oct 19th at 3:30pm in Cashel. Well done to players & management on the progress so far this year.
JUNIOR B FOOTBALL
We will play Galtee Rovers in the county quarter final on Saturday Oct 18th at 3:30pm in Sean Treacy Park, Tipperary.
CLUB BENEFACTOR SCHEME
Our club benefactor scheme is closing soon and the club would like to thank all who have signed up so far. There has been a huge amount of development work done over the past few years and more is planned to provide the best facilities for the community. All who have registered and become patrons of this scheme have been a massive part in making this happen. We are currently putting final plans for the commemorative plaque which will display names of all the patrons to the scheme. There is still a small window to sign up if you haven't done so already and get your name on the wall by checking the link here or by contacting a committee member ASAP.
