The mid championship commences this Sunday where we will face Thurles Sarsfields in the quarter final. The match throws in at 2pm in Boherlahan. Support greatly appreciated. Best of luck to the team.

JUNIOR A HURLING
The junior hurlers were defeated by Drom & Inch in their first outing in the mid championship last Friday evening. Played on our new pitch, it was Drom who struck the first main blow when they found the net twice in the first 5 minutes. Upperchurch found their composure after this and worked their way back into the game, eventually only trailing by a single point at half time. The second half once again saw Drom begin strongest and they scored 6 of the opening 8 points to go 5 in front. A third Drom goal midway through the half effectively sealed the result and despite determined pressure from Upperchurch, including a goal from Loughlin Ryan, the gap stood at 6 points at the full time whistle. Drom took the win 3-17 to 1-17. In the other game in the group Thurles Sarsfields defeated Moycarkey-Borris.

MINOR HURLING
Our minor had an 8-17 to 2-15 win over Thurles Sarsfields in their opening group game last Wednesday night. Their next outing is on Wednesday(1st July) at 7:30pm in Templetouhy where they will play the combo of Moyne/Loughmore.

ANNUAL GOLF CLASSIC

Just three weeks until Upperchurch Drombane GAA club holds their 24th Annual Golf Classic on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th of July, in Ballykisteen Golf Club. Entry for a team of four costs €220 and includes a round of golf, barbecue mid round and a meal afterwards. Excellent prizes are on offer.
